xxxHolic, no Tsubasa


So. We start with Watanuki and Kohane still chatting, and Doumeki comes back with their drinks. Kohane still looks all awed or whatever by Doumeki. It's kind of cute. In any case they chat some more. Then we cut over to Yuuko in her store room with Mokona. And she's standing in front of Fay's tattoo and Kurogane's sword and...wait. Wait, what's that over there next to them? Hmm....does this look familiar to anyone? If not, I'll give you a hint. Yeah. Looks familiar to me. And it looks as if, by the way Yuuko picks it up and talks, it might be coming into play soon. Moving along, we're back with the boys and Kohane. And her crazyass mother shows up and makes a grab at Watanuki for contaminating her daughter or something. Luckily, Doumeki's reactions are better than Watanuki's. So she hollars some, Kohane talks her into calming down. They leave. Kohane seems to be of a 'let's not irritate mom' nature. Or maybe she just knows something that the boys don't. Which could very well be. Anyway. Doumeki irritates Watanuki some more and they leave the park. Nice chapter overall. If only I'd taken more time to actually read what's there. Ahem....

Interesting chapter indeed!!
Now I'm very interested in knowing what Yuuko is talking about when she says both Watanuki and Doumeki have changed due to the exchange of eyes and blood... she says that while looking at Fay's tattoo and Kurogane's sword, HINT?!
I want to understand EVERYTHING she says!!!!
Will someone traslate??

I noticed about the bottle-thing too!
This is starting to make me feel like both series are coming to an end...
It's going to be really sad (T^T)

Does this mean Fai is going to get a Kurogane eye? O.o

I love how the tattoo and sword are shown together in xxxHolic. I think that's even further proof that Yuuko ships them.

OMG! The "TRC's beginning strange object" called my attention.
I was particullary interested in the meaning of that object at the beginning of the manga. I hope that its meaning will be explained in the next chapters.

I'm pretty sure all who've been reading TRC are still wondering when the tube and Syaoran's weird staff are going to show up and what they have to do with anything. Hopefully it'll all come to light soon.

Yeah. It took a double-take for me to realize that I'd seen that thing before. And of course then I had to go through all of my stacks of manga to find the very first volume to compare the appropriate picture. I've already concocted a few different reasons and what-not for the tube now, in light of the first scen in TRC. I'm sure all will be wrong. CLAMP likes to through us for a loop after all.

Because the thingie's next to Fye's tattoo and Kurogane's sword.. Couldn't it be the "relationship" that Yuuko took from Sakura? :D

You know, that idea crossed my mind as well. Which would throw a whole new level to Sakura and Syaoran trapped with a wall between them at the beginning of TRC. I really can't wait to see what it actually is.

I went back (after seeing you mention it and reading through the chapter) and re-looked at the beginning of the anime and manga for Tsubasa...we are never told (I don't think) what exactly the beginning was. The tube thing is the same one (by the looks of it) as the one Yuuko has. Which has me thinking back to the payment Shaoran gave. I started thinking "where did that go?" Yuuko recycles the items that are payed to her....so that means she has to be keeping that somewhere.

It maybe farfetched, but I'm thinking the tube has to deal with their payment and what will happen to them

Hmm...yes, the thought of Syaoran's payment (and thus Sakura's payment too since she can't remember him) could be what that is. Because as you say, we're not told what the beginning was all about, and then after Syaoran paid, that was it. We don't see it or what became of it. Even if it is abstract, Yuuko would have to have some physical form of it. And that definitely gives a new parrallel for the TRC beginning where there's this wall between Sakura and Syaoran. This getting deep...

And don't worry about rambling! I love know what everyone thinks about all these goings-on in the chapters. So thank you!

Clamp said in a magazine called "Puff" this month that Tsubasa has covered 2/3 of the story by now, and it's said that TRC would end before Holic, and Holic would enter the last spurt once TRC ends.
